    Dealer Notes

    The 1926 Ford Model T features a 20-horsepower, 177-cubic inch (2.9L) inline-four-cylinder engine, a two-speed planetary transmission, and a two-wheel drive system.

Other specifications included a top speed of 40-45 mph, a gravity-fed fuel system, and rear-wheel mechanical brakes with a transmission brake with a transmission brake.  Electric starters became standard in 1926, though hand-cranking was still an option and necessary for the magneto-based ignition system to generate spark.

The fuel system is a gravity-fed carburetor.   A transmission brake was used for primary braking.  A mechanical rear-wheel parking brake provided stopping power.   There were no front-wheel brakes.

Fuel economy was 13-21 mpg-US.  The engine used a thermosiphon system.

The 1926 model featured an all-steel body.  The fuel tank in located in the cowl.   Electric equipment became standard in 1926.  Factory accessories like bumpers and wire wheels were introduced during that year.

This vehicle is in great condition.  The interior has leather-like black seats that are in great condition.  Black exterior paint is in very good condition with only a couple of minor scratches and a small ding at on the left right fender.  as well.  The tires are in fair condition and are undoubtedly old, but they have no manufacturer's date.

The rims are in good condition, and the spokes wheels look so cool.

The top of the car has a heavy vinyl material which is in very good condition. (See photos)

This car has such character with its fold-out windshield, hand operated single windshield wiper and crank starter handle.  The dash's paint is clear and smooth even though in the photos it looks like the seat cushion but that's just a reflection from the nice paint on the dash.

The oil spot you see under the car on the concrete is NOT from the car, it's been on the concrete for years.  The car has a couple of small leaks from the rear axle, engine oil pan and transmission tail housing.

This is a beautiful vehicle which be a plus to any collector's collection.
